Under 18s, Over 60s, Armed Forces staff, and People with a Disability in Waltham Forest are eligible to swim at no additional cost when they subscribe for a Pay & Play Better Membership! You can swim Off-peak for adult 9am-5pm on weekdays and after 1pm on weekends (and during holidays for under 18's) during a public swimming session and even book in advance online for specific sessions. All you need to do is to join for an Annual Pay & Play Better Membership online with proof of age and address. The membership costs £5 per annum for Juniors (Under 18) or £7.40 for Adults over 60's. All Pay & Play Better Membership card holders have free access to swimming pools, as well as discounted rate access to gyms, fitness classes and racquet courts in Better leisure centres in Waltham Forest. You can complete your registration online HERE, select your 'borough' and 'home centre' (e.g. Chingford leisure centre). Once you have your chosen Better leisure centre you will be able to select 'Who you are' to which you can click the appropriate category (e.g. Senior). You will then need to 'Choose your plan' which for free swimming will be Pay and Play with an appropriate start date. You will have chosen your applicable options and so need to click the white and orange 'Select' box which will turn orange and enable you to now press 'Continue' to move forwards with your purchase. The next page will enable you to enter your 'personal details and 'address details' and decide if you would like an induction or not (use of the gym requires an induction) and tick the 'Health commitment statement'. upon completion you will be able to click the green continue box to move onto the 'Payment details'. Here you will be able to enter your card details followed by communication and marketing preferences. You may also need to know if you select an age specific membership then you will be required to upload evidence or bring on your first visit to a centre. Finally you can read and acknowledge the terms and conditions and then click the green 'Continue' button.
